I did not have subtopics to 2.5 as originally planned.
2.5 Usability Evaluation Tool
2.5.1 Usability Checklists

2.5.2 Usability Questionnaire
2.5.3 Web-Based Tool

As I began to start writing, I noticed that there not many UET to write about. So, no sub-topics.

Happy that I have completed the entire Literature Review now.
Of course, I may have additional points added into Literature Review as the Dissertation progresses.

Can't do more...my head is feeling heavy.

2.4 Usability Evaluation Methods
2.4.1 Three Categories of UEM  - completed

2.4.2 Usability Testing  - completed
2.4.3 Usability Inspection  - completed
2.4.4 Usability Inquiry  - in-progress

I was in Penang from Sunday to Thursday, 24 - 28 Oct 2010.  I had earlier hoped and planned that I could use 24-26 (Sun - Tue) to do up my Literature Review part 2.4 Usability Evaluation Method.  I could not focus...not inspired to write.  :(

2.1 Mobile Learning (Chpt 2 Literature Review) completed

20101022 Friday - 2310

Completed my write-up of 2.1 Mobile Learning.

Contains:
2.1.1 What is Mobile Learning?
2.1.2 Mobile Learning as a form of e-Learning
2.1.3 Characteristics of Mobile Learning

Future Plan:
2.1.4 Related Research Work

Decided to cancel 2.1.4 Usability Issues/Problems of Mobile Learning.
Reason: Most of these usability issues/problems are not relevant to my direction. Most of these...technical, connectivity, small screen, high cost, limited access...cannot be solved by usability evaluation. So, no point talking about problems/issues which are out of context of my research.

2.3 Usability Criteria 97% complete...until I suddenly found new materials :) + :(

20101021 - 15th Anniversary today.

2200 - I thought I was 97% complete...just waiting for the compilation of Usability Guidelines of HHS & GSA 2006.

2200 ~ 2300...I found some wonderful materials on Mobile Usability and Web Usability. So I think I just cannot ignore them.

2.3 Usability Criteria
status: ALL completed except 2.3.6 Mobile Usability and 2.3.7 Web Usability.

plan: Looks like I will only be able to complete this @Cititel, Penang....this coming Sunday - Tuesday.

2.2 Usability (Chpt 2 Literature Review) 80% complete

20.10.2010
10.45pm

Feeling satisfied. I have finished about 80% of 2.2 Usability.

2.2 Usability
2.2.1 What is Usability? - complete (60% of 2.2)
2.2.2 Why Usability Evaluation - complete (20% of 2.2)
2.2.3 Usability of Mobile Learning & Mobile Applications - outstanding (20% of 2.2)

I am in dilemma about writing the Usability Problems & Issues of mobile learning.
He does not like to hear about "bad things" about mobile learning...he is in denial stage.

So, I have to be extra careful....how to word the problems/issues.
He disliked issues like...small screen, lack of wifi access, expensive data rates...

Mmm...
Crack my head....how lah!
Eeeeeh...

Just now I felt like emailing my 2.2 to Sup and Co-Sup.
May be later lah, a few days later...just emailed the Slides and Chapter 1 on last Sunday & Monday.

This morning, I emailed out TQ again to all my respondents of Questionnaire Survey for Main Study. Hopefully, many of these will be willing to help with Questionnaire Survey again in the near future, and some may be willing to participate in the Focus Group. :)

Structuring my Literature Review

My problem is my Chapter 2 Literature Review file is very long. So, it is tedious to scroll such lengthy/many pages.

I decided to structure and chop the files into several files.

I am researching on Who's Who….those who are involved in HCI, Usability, E-Learning, Mobile Learning and related fields.

These academicians are my potential Focus Group.

First search is FCM of MMU.

Next, proceed to FIT, and subsequently, other relevant faculties.

Subsequently, other Universities in Malaysia.
