Problem Statement Location awareness in handheld computer and mobile applications is a new field that has been opened by the development of new technologies and by the growing use of handheld computing devices. Up to now there were no formal studies in the usability of applications with location-awareness. Research Goal To that end, this thesis proposes that adding location-awareness to an application will augment its usability by increasing the user satisfaction and efficiency of its user. Methodology This thesis presents the study and results after conducting an usability test with experimentation, analysis, and development of a prototype ToDo list application running on a Palm computer that emulates location-awareness.
